To list a vessel, click on "List vessel" in the top bar, fill in the required details (vessel name, IMO, type, year, price, etc.) and submit the form. Our team will review and publish it within 24 hours.
What is the cost of using ShipTrading?
Browsing and searching for vessels is completely free. We charge a success fee only when a sale is successfully completed through our platform. The fee varies depending on the vessel price and type – typically 1-2% of the sale price.
How does the valuation process work?
Our valuation experts analyse recent market transactions, technical condition reports, and industry trends to provide a fair market value. You can request a valuation through the "Valuation" page. Basic desktop valuations are delivered within 48 hours.
Can I save vessels to a shortlist?
Yes! Click the heart icon on any vessel card to add it to your favorites. You can view all your favorite vessels on the "Favorites" page (accessible via the heart icon in the header). This feature works across browser sessions thanks to local storage.
What types of vessels can I find?
We list a wide range of second‑hand vessels including bulk carriers, tankers (crude, product, chemical), container ships, gas carriers (LNG/LPG), tugs, dredgers, offshore vessels, and more. Use the filters on the left to narrow down by type, price, year, and DWT.
How do I arrange an inspection?
You can request an inspection directly from the vessel's detail page by clicking "Request inspection". Our team will connect you with an accredited surveyor in the vessel's location. Inspection reports typically include photos, condition assessment, and recommendations.
What financing options are available?
We offer mortgage loans, leasing, bridge financing, and ECA‑backed loans. Our partners include leading maritime banks. You can submit a financing request through the "Finance" page, and a specialist will contact you to discuss the best solution.
